a diverse background: from college football player, to international model, to bank executive. Despite being yoked by synthetic facets of culture, the organic draw of nature has always persisted in Jacob’s life, drawing him to an abiding sense of truth, purity, and beauty.
Jacob earned a B.A. in accounting from Lincoln University (1999) and later earned the designation of certified public accountant (CPA) in 2000. After working for twelve years in the banking industry, he left his position as Vice President of Risk Management for a career in ministry. Jacob graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 2011, with a Masters of Theological Studies. He presently pastors in the areas of Education and Discipleship at Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City, Missouri, a Southern Baptist congregation of 2,600.
Jacob has been married to his wife Tiffany since 2000, who after teaching special education, opted to become a stay-at-home mom after their first child was born. They have three children: daughter Abrah, son Jonah, and son Jobe. Jacob is a life-long fly fisherman and flytier. He is a member of the Capital City Fly Fishers, an organization committed to passing along the joys of fly fishing and keeping our natural streams clean and pure.
